Roast Rabbit in Crock Pot

 

As you already know, at home we eat rabbit meat often, because it's delicious and it has very little fat, so it is very beneficial for our health. On this occasion, we have prepared it roasted in the Crock Pot, although other times we have prepared it in a traditional pot with garlic, lemon, white wine... you can find all these recipes in our blog.

Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 14 oz of rabbit loins cut into pieces
- 1 potato
- 1/2 onion
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Dried thyme
- 1 splash of white wine
- Olive oil

Recipe:
- Wash and peel the potato.
- Cut the potato into 1/2 cm slices.
- Peel the onion and cut it like the potato.
- Add a tablespoon of oil to the bottom of the Crock Pot pan.
- Place the potato covering the entire bottom.
- Sprinkle a little salt on the potatoes.
- Top with the onion.
- Add salt and pepper to the rabbit loins.
- Add them to the bucket.
- Sprinkle thyme over the rabbit.
- Pour the splash of white wine.
- Cook on HIGH for 2 and a half hours.

Cheeks in red wine in Crock Pot

 

Today we bring you a spectacular Crok Pot recipe, one of those that you can make on special occasions and that you know never fail. The cheeks are a dish that we used to make in a normal pot, over low heat and being aware of them, but in our slow cooker they come out just as rich and it is much more comfortable. Take note!
 
Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 4 pork cheeks
- 2 carrots
- 1/2 onion
- 1 medium potato
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 7 oz of red wine
- 5.3 oz of crushed tomato
- 1.8 oz of meat broth
- Olive oil
- Black pepper
- Salt
 
Recipe:
- In a saucepan, pour the wine and let it cook over medium heat until it reduces its volume more or less by half. Reservation.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper on the cheeks.
- Brown them in a frying pan with a drizzle of olive oil. Reserve them.
- Wash, peel and cut the carrots, garlic and onion into small squares. 
- Wash, peel and cut the potatoes into slices and then in half.
- Add the carrot, onion, garlic, tomato, meat broth and a pinch of salt to the Crock Pot bucket.
- Place the potatoes on top and then the cheeks.
- Pour over the red wine.
- Cook on LOW for 7 hours.
- Take out the cheeks and potatoes and reserve them on a plate.
- Crush the sauce in a glass suitable for the blender.
- Plate the sauce and place the potatoes and cheeks on top.

Tomato sauce in Crock Pot


This week we have prepared tomato sauce in our Crock Pot, something that we usually do almost every week, as we love the result. Once it is cooked, we whisk it and eat it as is, as a sauce for pasta, rice or meatballs for example.

Ingredients:
- 5 branch tomatoes
- 1/2 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 bay leaf
- Oregano
- Salt
- Olive oil


Recipe:
- Wash the tomatoes.
- Peel the onion and garlic.
- Cut the tomatoes and onion into chunks and place them in the Crock Pot.
- Add the whole garlic.
- Add the bay leaf, a little salt, a drizzle of olive oil and a couple of teaspoons of oregano.
- Mix all ingredients well.
- Cook on HIGH for 3 hours.
- Remove the bay leaf and beat the rest of the ingredients in a glass suitable for a blender.


*Cooking tip: If you don't like a rustic sauce (you can find a small piece), you can strain it and use the sauce for the dish you prefer and the pieces that remain in the strainer, save them to put them, for example, on toast with a little oil, nothing is thrown away here! 😉

Potatoes with Ribs in Crock Pot

 

Today we bring you a very easy recipe to prepare in your Crock Pot. It reminds us of our childhood, since our mothers and grandmothers often prepared it in winter and we loved it, do you usually prepare it?

Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 14 oz of marinated ribs
- 10 oz of potatoes
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/4 onion
- 1 ñora
- Meat broth
- Oil
- Salt

Recipe:
- Wash and peel the potatoes.
- Chop them into medium pieces.
- Peel the onion and garlic, cut them into small squares.
- Moisturize the pepper for 10 minutes in warm water.
- With the help of a knife, scrape the pulp.
- Place the potatoes in the bucket of your pot and sprinkle a little salt.
- Add the ribs, onion, garlic, pulp of the ñora and a splash of oil.
- Pour the broth until the potatoes and ribs are covered.
- Cook for 4 hours in HIGH.

BBQ Ribs at CrockPot

 

Today we propose one star recipe with the Crock Pot, since the ribs come out spectacular and it only takes 2 minutes to prepare, then you just have to wait!

Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 28 oz of pork ribs
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Barbecue sauce


Recipe:
- Add salt and pepper to the ribs.
- With the help of a kitchen brush, paint the ribs on both sides with the barbecue sauce.
- Place the rib strips standing inside the crock pot and put the lid on.
- Cook them for 8 hours at LOW temperature.
- When they are cooked, you will see the juices that the ribs have released, you can reduce it in a saucepan to obtain a thicker sauce and accompany the ribs.

Banana and Dulce de Leche Sponge Cake in Crock Pot


Today we teach you how to prepare a delicious banana and sweet sponge cake that we prepare in our Crock Pot during confinement, as you know, we do not have an oven, but we really wanted a sponge cake, so we were encouraged to make it in the pot and the result is fantastic.

Ingredients:
- 2.11 oz of butter
- 2.46 oz of brown sugar
- 1 beaten egg
- 3.5 oz of flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 4.4 oz of very ripe bananas
- 1.05 oz of semi-skimmed milk
- 1 tablespoon of dulce de leche


Recipe:
- Place several strips of baking paper inside the bowl of your Crock Pot to cover the inside and then the cake will not stick.
- Preheat the pot for 30 minutes on HIGH with the lid on.
- Sift the flour and baking soda together and reserve in a bowl.
- In a large bowl, add the butter with ointment texture and brown sugar and mix well with a few rods until completely integrated.
- Incorporate the beaten egg little by little until it mixes well.
- Puree the ripe banana by crushing it with a fork and adding it to the bowl.
- Add the flour little by little, beating continuously with the rods so that it is completely integrated.
- Pour in the milk and mix again.
- Add the contents of the bowl to the Crock Pot once it has preheated, place a cloth on top to absorb the moisture, and put the lid on it.
- Cook for 2 hours on HIGH.
- After this time, uncover the pot, let it cool completely and remove from the mold.

Meatballs with Pumpkin Sauce at CrockPot


Today we bring you a new recipe in our slow cooker, you know that we have used a lot our CrockPot since we bought it, and this is a recipe that we will repeat for sure.

Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 14 oz of mixed minced meat
- 1 egg
- 1 clove garlic
- Bread crumbs
- Chopped parsley
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 10 oz of pumpkin cream
- 1 medium potato

Recipe:
- Prepare the pumpkin cream in advance and let it temper.
- Chop the garlic into very small pieces.
- Mix the minced meat with the egg, the chopped parsley, a pinch of salt and pepper and a little breadcrumbs.
- Shape the meatballs and insert them into the CrockPot.
- Wash, peel the potatoes and cut them into squares.
- Add them to the pot along with the meatballs.
- Pour the pumpkin cream on top and move the bucket a little so that it is distributed well at the bottom.
- Cover the pot and cook on HIGH for an hour and a half so that they are juicy.

Rice with mushrooms and bacon in CrockPot


Today we bring you the recipe of a delicious rice in Crock Pot, it is the first time we dare to prepare it and the truth is that it has been very delicious, we will repeat for sure!

Ingredients:
- 5.6 oz of pump rice
- 7 oz of mushrooms
- 3.5 oz of bacon
- 1/2 onion
- Parmesan cheese
- Chicken broth
- Salt
- Black pepper

Recipe:
- Clean the mushrooms and cut them into slices.
- Peel the onion and cut it into small squares.
- Introduce mushrooms, onion, bacon and a small drizzle of broth into the Crock Pot.
- Kitchen in HIGH for 2h.
- Add the rice and pour more broth until it covers a couple of millimeters more than the rice.
- Sprinkle a little salt and black pepper and mix all the ingredients well.
- Kitchen in HIGH 1h more.
- Grate Parmesan cheese.
- Sprinkle the cheese on top, mix well and serve immediately.

Potaje in Crock Pot


The weather is so much cold, so we really want stews and hot dishes, such as this stew, which we have prepared in our slow cooker. Take note!

Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 4.5 oz of chickpeas
- 9 oz of desalted cod
- 2 eggs
- 3.5 oz of fresh spinach
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 onion
- 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
- Olive oil
- Salt

Recipe:
- Cook the eggs for 10 minutes in boiling water with a pinch of salt.
- Let them cool, peel them, cut them into wedges and reserve.
- Soak the chickpeas for at least 8 hours.
- Drain the chickpeas and put them in the bowl of the Crock Pot along with the cloves of garlic (unpeeled) and the bay leaf.
- Kitchen 9 hours in HIGH.
- Meanwhile, peel the onion and cut it into small squares.
- In a pan with a drizzle of olive oil, sauté the onion until it is transparent.
- Remove the pan from the heat, add the paprika and mix well.
- Clean the cod by removing the thorns and cut it into squares of approximately 2cm. Reserve.
- When the chickpeas are well cooked, add the spinach to the pot and stir-fry and cook for 30 more minutes.
- After this time, turn off the Crock Pot and add the cod and boiled eggs.
- Mix gently, let it sit together for 10 minutes and serve.

Stewed black beans in Crock Pot


In Winter, there is nothing that we want more than the stews, and the truth is that with the Crock Pot they are great, full of flavor and they are very easy to prepare, the pot does everything!

Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 6.5 oz of black beans
- 1/2 onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 potato
- 1 carrot
- 1 chorizo
- 1 black pudding
- 1 piece of ham
- Chicken soup
- Salt

Recipe:
- Soak the black beans in a large bowl of water for 12 hours.
- Wash and peel the potato and carrot.
- Cut it into pieces by clicking it.
- Cut the carrot into slices.
- Peel the onion.
- Put the drained beans, the potato, the carrot and the half onion into the pot.
- Add chorizo, blood sausage and ham.
- Pour the chicken broth until it covers 2 fingers above all the ingredients.
- Sprinkle a little salt and mix well.
- Cook in HIGH for 8 hours.
- When ready, take out the onion and a few beans and beat it with the blender.
- Add it to the pot and mix everything well.

Roasted Pot Knuckle


Today we bring you the classic recipe for German roasted knuckle but made with our Crock Pot. As you know, we don't have an oven at home, and this pot has been a great discovery (in addition to the convenience of its use) because many recipes can be made with an oven-like result. The knuckle is very tender and golden, you will love it!

Ingredients for 2 people:
- 1 pork knuckle in brine
- 2 white Bratwurst sausages
- 1 medium potato
- Sauerkraut (you can buy it or prepare it, you have the recipe here)
- Olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of old-fashioned Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 clove of garlic
- Dried thyme
- White wine

Recipe:
- Put the knuckle to desalt in a large bowl with water for about 18 hours, changing the water every 5-6 hours approximately.
- Dry it with paper towels and set aside.
- Peel the garlic and cut it into very small squares.
- In a medium bowl, mix the chopped garlic, mustard, honey, a little thyme and a splash of white wine.
- With a brush, cover the knuckle everywhere with the mixture.
- Pour a dash of olive oil in the bottom of the Crock Pot.
- Peel the potato and cut it into medium slices (about half a cm thick) and, in turn, each slice in half, to form of semicircles.
- Put the potato in the pot covering the base.
- Cut the sausages into pieces and place them on the potato.
- Enter the knuckle with the fleshy part down and, if you have left some of the ingredient mixture, pour it over.
- Cook the knuckle for 9 hours at a LOW temperature.
- Remove the knuckle, remove the skin and cut the meat, which should be pink.
- Plates with the garnish, a little sauce and a little sauerkraut.

Casserole with sausages and potatoes in Crock Pot


Today we bring you a very easy recipe to prepare and that everyone likes, because there is no one who has not tried the famous “salchipapas”, but we have made them with less fat, since the potato is roasted instead of fried.

Ingredients:
- 21 oz of potatoes
- 14 oz of fresh white sausages
- 1 purple onion
- Salt
- Ground black pepper
- Olive oil

Recipe:
- Wash and peel the potatoes.
- Cut them into pieces of approximately 2 cm.
- Split the sausages into several pieces.
- Peel the onion and cut it into julienne.
- Put a sheet of baking paper inside the crock pot, so that the corners protrude from the pot.
- Insert the potatoes, sausages and onion into the paper.
- Sprinkle a little salt, black pepper and a couple of tablespoons of olive oil.
- Cook for 4 hours in HIGH with the lid on.
- Mix from time to time during cooking by pulling the corners of the baking paper so that the potatoes and sausages are moved and browned equally.

Intxaursalsa in Crock Pot


This dessert is typical of northern Spain, specifically the Basque Country, and is a kind of custard made from nuts. It is a traditional and different dessert at the same time, it is the first time we tried it and the truth is that we liked it a lot, it is also very easy to prepare in the Crock Pot.

Ingredients:
- 17.5 oz of semi-skimmed milk
- 17.5 oz of cream for cooking
- 7 oz of peeled walnuts
- 5.3 oz of sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick

Recipe:
- In a glass suitable for blender, crush the nuts until they are pulverized.
- Add it to the Crock Pot along with the sugar, cream, milk and cinnamon stick.
- Mix well and cook on HIGH for 3 hours.
- Stir more or less every hour to mix the flavors well.
- Let it warm and then store it in the fridge to serve it cold.

Puchero in Crock Pot


Today's recipe is very easy, it is one of the "all inside", that is, it does not require any previous or after preparation, you just have to put the ingredients in the Crock Pot and wait. More comfortable impossible!

Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 2.7 oz of white beans
- 2.7 oz of chickpeas
- 3.5 oz of serrano ham in taco
- 1 quarter of chicken
- 7 oz gr of meat to stew
- 1 chorizo to cook
- 1 medium potato
- 1 large carrot
- 1/4 small cabbage
- 1 cow bone
- 1 ham tip
- Water
- Salt

Recipe:
- Soak the beans and chickpeas the previous night for 12 hours.
- Peel the potato and carrot, click the potato and cut the carrot into medium slices.
- Enter the chicken, the bone, the tip of the ham, the meat to stew and the ham.
- Then add the cabbage, carrots, potato, beans and chickpeas.

Salmon in papillote in Crock Pot


Today we bring you a very simple way to prepare fish, in this case salmon, in the Crock Pot. We have decided to prepare it in papillote because it is a recipe that we usually make in the microwave (we do not have an oven) and we really like how it looks. How do you usually prepare it?

Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 large salmon tail
- Rosemary
- Fresh thyme
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Ground white pepper

Recipe:
- Cut a sheet of baking paper to wrap the salmon.
- Place the salmon tail in the center of the paper.
- Brush the salmon with a little olive oil.
- Sprinkle a little salt and pepper on top.
- Add a little rosemary and thyme on top.
- Close the oven paper package, especially the ends.
- Place the package inside the Crock Pot and cook 1 hour on high.

Roasted Lamb in Crock Pot


Today's recipe is one of the most typical to prepare for Christmas or special occasions. The truth is that it is a pleasure to eat it from time to time, and more so if it is as easy to prepare as in the Crock Pot, where the meat is very tender, although it is not as golden as in the oven.

Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 35 oz of lamb
- Thyme
- Rosemary
- 5 cloves of garlic
- Salt
- Olive oil
- 1 large potato
- 3.5 oz of white wine

Recipe:
- We buy the lamb in a piece, but you can ask at the butcher shop to split them in several according to the number of diners.
- Wash and peel the potato and cut into slices of 1/2 cm.
- Peel the garlic and place on the potatoes.
- Place them in the bottom of the pot.
- Brush the lamb with oil and place it in the pot.
- Sprinkle salt, thyme and rosemary over the lamb.
- Add the wine over the potatoes.
- Put the lid on and cook 7 hours on SLOW.

Pulled Pork in Crock Pot


Some time ago we shared with you the recipe to prepare pulled pork in a traditional pot, since it is one of our favorite fillings for snacks, and this time we have prepared it in our Crock Pot, where it has been cooked slowly for 8h, it is spectacular!

Ingredients:
- 35 oz of boneless pork loin in one piece
- 1.5 tablespoons of sweet paprika
- 1/2 tablespoon of spicy paprika
- 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons old mustard
- 1/2 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 tablespoons of water

Recipe:
- Peel the garlic and cut them into very small squares.
- In a large bowl, add the sweet paprika, spicy paprika, brown sugar, salt, mustard, ground black pepper, garlic and oil.
- Mix everything until the ingredients are well integrated.
- Remove the remaining fatty tissue from the piece of meat.
- Put the meat in the bowl and spread the piece well with the spice mixture until it is completely covered.
- Cover the bowl with film and let it macerate in the fridge for a few hours (I left it a whole night).
- Place the meat inside the bowl of the Crock Pot and also introduce the rest of the spice mixture that has been left in the bowl.
- Pour the 5 tablespoons of water in the bottom.
- Put the lid on and cook for 8 hours in LOW.
- After cooking, remove the meat from the pot and let it rest for a while in a tray, it will be very tender and can be easily crumbled with the help of two forks.
- Take the juice of the meat that has been left in the pot to accompany it as a sauce.

Roasted Potato Chips in Crock Pot


These potatoes are the perfect accompaniment to any dish: meat, fish, chicken, a hamburger ... they are delicious! And, as always with our Crock Pot, very easy to prepare.

Ingredients:
- 21 oz of potatoes for frying (for example of the Monalisa variety).
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon of dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon of spicy paprika
- 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil

Recipe:
- Wash the potatoes and peel them.
- Cut the potatoes into wedges in this way: each potato in half lengthwise, in turn, cut those two halves in two and, in turn, each in two. In this way, you will have 8 segments of each potato.
- In a large bowl, pour the oil, thyme, parsley, sweet paprika, spicy, a pinch of salt and another of black pepper.
- Mix well and add the potato wedges.
- Stir the potatoes well so that they are impregnated well with the spices.
- Cover the Crock Pot tray with a sheet of baking paper, so that the corners protrude from the pot.
- Place the potatoes inside, cover the pot with a cloth and put the lid on top. (We put the cloth so that it absorbs moisture from cooking and the potatoes do not stick together).
- Cook for 3 hours in HIGH with the lid on.
- Mix the potatoes from time to time by pulling some of the corners of the baking paper (without lifting the lid).

Welsh Rarebit in Crock Pot


This recipe is a typical snack of the United Kingdom for several centuries, there are many varieties, but we bring you the traditional one so that you can prepare it at home with a slow pot (in a normal pot it would also be very easy to make, but you should be looking the pot while cooking).

Ingredients:
- 7 oz of cheddar cheese
- 1.5 tablespoons of old mustard
- 3.5 oz of toasted beer
- Ground white pepper
- Bread

Recipe:
- Grate the cheese or cut it into very small pieces.
- Place it in the bucket of the Crock Pot.
- Add the beer, mustard and a pinch of ground white pepper.
- Mix all ingredients well.
- Cook 1h and 30 minutes in HIGH.
- Cut the bread into slices and toast them until brown.
- Mix well so that the cheese is completely melted and served on toasted bread.
